Welcome to the website of Donald C. Barrett, P.A.  My law practice is devoted exclusively to criminal defense.  I have more than ten years of experience in criminal law, including seven years of experience as a Florida State Prosecutor.  I have handled thousands of criminal cases, from capital felonies, to virtually every type of misdemeanor.

As a former prosecutor in both Monroe County (the Florida Keys) and North Florida, I have a unique understanding of what is required to prove someone has committed a crime.  I am also aware of the many important rights possessed by the accused in every criminal proceeding.  As your lawyer, I will ensure that your rights are protected, and I will examine and evaluate the evidence in your case to determine whether the government can meet its burden of proof.
